Brig extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to seven games after a 1-1 draw with Radcliffe at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.

Ewan Bange's seventh goal in seven consecutive games gave Brig the lead on 10 minutes, before Bobby Grant equalised for the visitors five minutes later.

Bange's goal came after excellent work from Rob Apter, who received the ball on halfway before charging into the penalty area and forcing a good save out of Radcliffe 'keeper Cameron Belford.

Bange was first to the rebound to hook the ball over the line, before typically marking the finish with his golf swing celebration.

Apter then had another shooting opportunity on 13 minutes, firing narrowly over the crossbar from the edge of the area.

The visitors equalised on 15 minutes, when Grant diverted a cross from the right flank into the bottom left corner with a powerful header.

The Radcliffe forward was involved again nine minutes later, hitting the post with a long-distance free kick.

Brig then had another opportunity through Bange, who was one-on-one only to see his well struck effort produce a fine save from Belford in the Radcliffe goal.

And the visiting 'keeper was called into action again late in the first half to tip Danny Forbes's volley over the crossbar.

The first clear cut chance of the second half fell to Radcliffe, with defender Joseph Cummings's header from a corner smashing into the upright before Brig cleared.

Moments later, Danny Roccia got in front of and held Grant's close range header.

The Brig 'keeper made another crucial impact on 68 minutes. Radcliffe were awarded a penalty by the referee, with Roccia superbly saving from Grant's spot kick before the Brig defence produced a series of superb blocks to prevent their opponents from taking the lead.

On 81 minutes, Bange managed to race clear of the defence before firing a ball across goal that no Brig player could manage to reach.

With moments left on the clock, Matthew Flynn was shown a red card after the referee adjudged him to have brought down Kole Hall outside the area. Grant hit the resulting free kick over the bar.

That was the last action of the game, with the full-time whistle blowing on a 1-1 draw, stretching Brig's unbeaten home record this season to four games in the process.
