Bamber Bridge had to settle for a point from their August Bank Holiday Monday clash with Colwyn Bay.
Matt Dudley put Brig in the lead on 17 minutes with a superb 30 yard strike.
Ali Waddecar nearly made it two for Brig on 38 mins. He beat Colywn Bay’s keeper Matthew Cooper in the 6 yard box, but his shot went just wide of the post.
Colwyn Bay’s first real chance of the game came on 43 mins. A header from Will Booth was pushed away by Lloyd Rigby in the Brig goal.
Just before half time Brig found themselves down to 10 men. Adam Dodd confronted the referee following a perceived foul. The heated exchange saw the referee Kristian Silcock reach for his cards and Dodd was shown a red for dissent.
The visitors drew level on 52 mins through a Will Booth header. However, the score was only to remain level for 1 minute. Matthew Cooper was unable to keep hold of Brig captain Matt Lawlor’s header and fumbled the ball in to the net on 53 minutes
Despite being down to 10 men, Brig held on to their 2-1 lead until the final minute of normal time when Astley Mullholland headed past Rigby to make the score 2-2.
Brig desperately battled to regain their lead in the 4 minutes of added time. Subsitute Sam Staunton-Turner went close on 90+2 mins but drilled his shot just wide.
