Neil informed me of a bit of bad news that George Bowyer would not be signing on at Brig for the upcoming season. This is purely due to the fact that George lives and works in Manchester and can at times find travelling to Bamber Bridge a bit difficult.
Neil and everyone else at Bamber Bridge Football Club would like to thank George for all of his efforts and dedication that he has shown down at Irongate over the last 2 years and we wish him all the very best for the future.

Crowie told me that pre-season started on Thursday 28th June with a good session and the return of almost all of the familiar faces from last season. There have been a handful of new faces that have been attending training, these include:

Steve Settle, an attacking midfielder who has been at clubs such as Curzon Ashton and Leigh Genesis.
Lee Green who has been playing in the North West Counties League with clubs such as Ashton Town.
Kev Brown, a former Clitheroe and Brig defender.
Callum who is the youngest of the Mahoney brothers has also been making an appearance down at pre-season training.

Neil has said “Hopefully I will be in talks with a couple more players over the next month. Pre-season training has been going well and the squad and I are all looking forward to playing our first pre-season game against Lostock St Gerards on Thursday 12th”

As Crowie has said BBFC's first pre-season friendly will be away to Lostock St Gerards on Thursday 12th July, kicking off at 7.15pm
