Bamber Bridge Vets 5 (five) - 1 Southport Trinity

Brig Vets continued their free-scoring run by netting another five goals under the lights of the LFA's County Ground in Leyland.

Maybe it's an age thing, but the the lads didn't come out of the dressing room firing on all cylinders, finding themselves a goal down to the visitors, Southport Trinity after just five minutes.

Finally the Sanatogen kicked in and lads got down to business. Goals from Andy Bell, Tom Ince and hat trick from Brig legend Kenny Mayers secured a convincing victory for the men in white. Even Wayne Dixon, in the Brig goal, had his moment in the spotlight, saving a penalty.
